Presenting our upcoming AIGNER moccasins
An Italian love story
We are proud for having become AIGNER stockholders! For the spring summer season, we ordered the Anna moccasin. The pastel colored summer style made from finely grained calfskin is handmade in Italy. The decorative horse made from gold-coloured metal is a beautiful accessory that breathes elegance into the sporty look. The soft upper material and the flexible, cognac-coloured studded sole ensure a heavenly wearing experience. Whether with denim or dresses, Anna can be worn with anything with fresh ease.
ABOUT the AIGNER brand:
The great fashion designer Etienne Aigner was born in Hungary in 1904. More than half a century ago he presented his first handbag collection in New York – and caused a major sensation.
The reason that people in 1950 were so excited about Aigner’s exclusive leather creations was that ever since the invention of the “steamer trunk” for the legendary transatlantic liners or the Orient Express, there had been no real innovations in travel luggage.
A few years later Etienne Aigner met Heiner H. Rankl, a businessman with a keen feel for the future and an equally strong sense of tradition – and the cult brand of AIGNER was born. That was in 1965, in Munich.
At that time Munich was the best place to found a new, leading German fashion brand. In the mid 60s and 70s Munich was full of excitement: there was a euphoric belief in progress, and the future held no threat. Certainly not in Munich, a city so close to Italy that has always been more in tune with the “dolce vita” than anywhere else in Germany. At that time nobody needed to invent an attitude because everyone had a natural feel for the lightness of life: Flower Power! Parties! Love! Discos! The Jet Set!
The design of the 60s and 70s reflected this great freedom. It was young, streamlined and futuristic, with an emphasis on the colour orange.
It was that freedom, the special feel of that time, which inspired the young brand AIGNER. Wild horses were best suited to those wild years with their wild parties. The AIGNER Racing Days, an event organized by the prestige brand just outside Munich, soon became a firm fixture in a society still unaccustomed to such events.
AIGNER gave its products a rural, countrystyle feel. There was always a sense of the racecourse, a feeling of being by the fireside. A phenomenon that can still be felt today.

Brick Red – A winning colour for fall
Win with my favorite colour in this fall season – Brick Red. For fall, I love Brick Red in combination with neutrals like Ivory or Beige and Navy.
A great addition to the fall lineup – this knit coat!
This particular coat is a pairs exceptionally well with brick red and blue. It’s great for the office and as a partner for light silk chiffon dresses. A tree staple fall/winter item. We combined the coat with our graphic printed silk midi dress.
Another cool outfit for everyday are these brick red silk blended cord pants with our loose navy blue silk blouse. This combo creates an effortless, casual-elegant look for many occasions.
n
For colder days and instead of wearing a coat, try this thick ivory cashmere turtleneck sweater. Pair it with a matching silk scarf for the ultimate chic.
Other easy basics are these cognac colored Angora blended wool pants – they match perfectly with brick red.
When it is getting colder, you might want to cuddle yourself into thick outerwear like this navy duffle coat with a wool vest.
For a festive event and a femme-fatale-feeling, this irresistible red chiffon dress.
c
And last but not least – match it with jewelry that is made of red corals or mussles.
Wishing you lots of fun with these colour combinations.
How to give your spring wardrobe a color update
Pops of Colors
As the temperatures begin to rise, it’s time to update your spring wardrobe with fresh colors. But even though the light is bright, it might still be fresh in the mornings and evenings. From bouclé jackets to trench coats and colorful prints, here’s what to wear to work this season.
Try pastels!
After those long dark winter months we can’t wait to fresh up our wardrobe with bright colors. Opt for Pastels as they look much more chic during early spring days than blocking colors – save them for summer. Another good thing about pastels is that you can combine them one with each other easily.
Shades of blue
Royal blue
Royal blue is a slight warm toned shade of blue that stands for luxury. It goes well with white and marine blue.
And what better place to start than with your work attire? Liven up the office with a breath of fresh air in the form of bright, spring-ready outfits that will leave you feeling inspired. An ink blue bouclé jacket over a white shirt and marine slimpants or a skirt. Top it off with a pair of white sneakers, a scarf and riviera styled earrings.
Turquoise blue
Turquoise is a color that stands for water, for summer and for fun. Try this combination of a light blue bouclé jacket, a matching scarf, ivory pants, sneakers and round shaped earrings.
Sky blue
Or you opt for a fresh sky blue, go for a classic version of the trench and combine it with a silk tee, a bright blue cardigan in warm and soft cashmere, jeggins, a floral color matching scarf and sneakers.
The following blue lace dress is the perfect wedding guest outfit
Ice blue
Ice blue is a soft shade of blue that goes well with grey and nude and is therefore the perfect choice for a cloudy day. For a rather casual look try this combo of a blue silk blouse, a beige cashmere long cardigan for inside the office, a grey necklace, warm pashmina, perforized leather pants and sneakers.
Dove blue
Dove blue is another cold toned blue and also goes well with neutrals. This is a romantic outfit of a blue silk scarf with an ivory lace blouse and ice blue cotton pants.
Ink Blue
Ink blue is for those ones who like to dream of your next summer vacation.
This is a casual combo of a draped jersey shirt with ink blue crêpe pants.
Navy blue
Last but not least there is, of course, also classic navy blue. Beautifully combined with white and clear red or in stripes.
Try this blue and white striped mink cashmere cardigan with an ivory silk tee, a silk scarf, dark blue cotton pants, a beige necklace and flats.
Shades of yellow
Yellow still is a huge trend. Let us introduce the different shades.
Pastel yellow
A pop of lemon yellow in the form of a trench coat you can layer with a white blouse and slim pants and maritim earrings combined with sneakers and a warm pashmina and an equestrian styled belt brings back the sunshine into our lives.
Mandarin
Mandarin yellow is a warm shaded yellow that turns into orange. It is a huge trend in 2019 and nice for people with a warm toned skin type. Combine it with other neutrals or corals.
Try this combination of a warming wool pashmina, a yellow lined linen dress and matching earrings.
Buttermilk yellow
Buttermilk yellow is a soft version of yellow, almost shading into beige. It should be combined with other strong colors in order to not make you look pale.
Try this silk wrap dress with a print in yellow and black and combine it with a black bouclé coat, turquoise earrings, nude stockings and black heels while temperatures are still fresh.
Lemon yellow
No other color lifts our mood more up than lemon yellow. This bright yellow that turns into greens stands for the famous Amalfi lemons, summer, sun and fun. An option for days that allow you to go out without stockings is this feminine office look of a yellow silk bouclé jacket, a white plate skirt and the matching jewlery.
Corals
Coral is a great fresh color for spring. It reminds us of all the flowers and is not as dump as a classic deep red.
Classic coral
No spring without that classic light red type coral color.
This is a coral top that can be combined with a blue bouclé jacket, white cotton pants, matching earrings and flats.
Lobster Red
If the temperatures allow, try this gorgeous outfit of a coral colored blouse with a floral skirt. Perfect also for wedding invitations!
A warm but fresh option is a light cognac colored cashmere blazer coat, a coral lace blouse, a wool scarf, ivory cigarette pants , pearl earrings and flats.
Red coral print
Or go more dramatic in this combination of a coral printed silk top with a beige wool coat white cotton pants, neutral flats and matching coral earrings and necklace.
Flamingo Red
A trendy type of Coral red is flamingo red. Wear it with ivory and pastel yellow like this combination of a coral blouse, a white pencil skirt in cotton jacquard, a coral necklace, yellow earrings, a pastel yellow trench and a vanilla and pink pashmina.
Festive outfit
When being invited to a wedding or other festive event, choose a long sleeved dress in a fresh color.
We like this flamingo colored silk dress with a classic blue maxi coat and blue pumps to stay warm during the colder days and top it with a necklace with a pink pearl.
coral colored silk dress in midi length
Nudes
Never underestimate the power of a sophisticated look in shades of nude.
Pink shaded nude
Pink shaded nudes just makes every girl glow! This is a pink shaded combination of a nude blazer coat with matching trousers, a short sleeved white blouse, elegant belt and flats. Jewelry in nude pearls add up to a luxurious look.
Salmon shaded nude
Salmon shaded nude goes well with other neutrals, but also with corals. Try this similar combination with a short jacket, ivory cotton pants, a lace top, the matching jewelry and sneakers.
Snake printed nude
If you want to feature the animal print this season, choose this animal printed silk tee with perforized leather pants and nude sneakers.
Rosé
Our favorite color remains – of course – romantic rosé! A color that mirrors the Japan cherry blossom.
Office version
Try this rosé and white striped bouclé jacket with the matching skirt and a silk tee.
Tea time
An elegant version is this rosé shift dress. During fresh spring days, black will make it look more appropriate Combine it with black earrings, a warm pashmina and black slingback pumps.
Wedding guest outfit
Or try this festive edit of a wrap dress in graphic printed rosé and black silk with a black bouclé coat and black jewelry.
Hair and Make Up
Don’t forget to also update your make up essentials. Colors like peach rouge, bronzer, copper and pale rose will work very well.
For those ones who are a little braver, go for a pink eye make up. Yes, it works!
Wear your hair in natural waves for a romantic finish.

Making of our photo shoot at the old factory Attisholz
Last week we had a Marlene Dietrich style fashion photo shoot at the lost space of the former cellulose factory in Attisholz.
The whole scenery was quite scary and impressive at the first sight:

We started with our first outfit of our tweed blazer FRANCESCA and our velvet trouser JANICE in the old hall.
The light was really spectacular and the mood like in the old movies:
The changing of the outfit was quite a challenge due to the cold temperatures and limited facilities:
The location of this outfit’s shoot was a gigantic hall with columns:
We also used the fog machine to create special effects – have a look:

Introducing sustainable and fashionable WOMSH sneakers
This season we are introducing the luxurious and stylish sneakers by the Italian brand Womsh. Womsh sneakers are entirely designed, manufactured and created in Italy.
When visiting the label’s booth at Milan’s MICAM, we were convinced by the outstanding comfort and quality of the shoes as well as of the sustainable concept of the brand.
Thanks to the collaboration with LIFEGATE, benchmark for the sustainable development through the business model “People, Planet e Profit”, Womsh participates to the ZERO IMPACT® project, which:
Measures the environmental impact of activities, companies, products and people, calculating the emissions of carbon dioxide and greenhouse gases (equivalent Kg of CO2). It also reduces CO2 emissions through the implementation of consumption’s reductions and eco-efficiency projects and Offsets CO2 emissions through reforestation and protection of growing forests in Italy and worldwide (Costa Rica, Panama and Madagascar).
The brand even recycles the shoes: After having worn them up, instead of the usual inefficient methods you can deposit them in our shop. We will then send them back to the brand that uses them for their “I Giardini di Betty” project. WOMSH uses the old sneakers to make a special flooring for playgrounds.
Available from May 2019 both online and in our upcoming Zurich retail store!

How to wear floral dresses in winters – by Rebecca Siggers
Floral print looks great on any summer dress. It is chic and trendy. But how about making it trendy in winters as well?
Yes, why not?! With the correct cut and a well-defined floral print, your floral dress worn in winter would definitely be a head-turner. Why then, do you have to stick with the dull non-vibrant prints and colors in winters?
Florals are in fact playful and colorful motifs that can add charm to any style. They can brighten your winter wardrobe by adding a splurge of color to your outfit. Of course in winters, layering is the key. While a floral dress looks best in summers with its minimum accessories, in winters pairing it with layers such as a chunky knit or a pullover will make it look classy as well as comfortable.
That is why we have come up with a few tips for you on how to wear a floral dress in winters:
1. Layering
How about layering a midi-dress over a tonal rollneck? It not only looks chic but also will give you a young sexy look. Try to use a statement belt that cinches at the waist. Knee-high boots would give you heightened slender look and also help you to keep yourself warm. Make sure to accessorize yourself with a sling bag or a tote and some chunky beads to give yourself look a polished look.
Alternatively, you could wear a pullover over your floral dress to make it look like a pleated skirt. Pair it well with a knitted scarf and a knee-high or ankle-length boots.
Remember that when you are layering, you need to keep your pullover or the rollneck of neutral color. Too much floral print on every piece of clothes or accessories looks extremely distracting and disorienting.
Layers are a smart way to keep yourself warm as well as to give you that warm wintery look. Paired with some well-fitted tights, the whole ensemble would definitely help you to be outstanding amongst the other common winter outfits. Add different textures into the mix such as chunky wool cardigans, corduroy blazers, lace tights and so forth. This will create a wonderful visual aspect.
2. Go Jackets
Jackets have a wonderful way of teaming with floral dresses. And there are a number of exciting looks that you could sporty or artistic – either way, you would look fantastic.
Sporty Look:
Going floral does not mean you have to look dainty all the time. You can very well sport the sporty look. A tracksuit jacket over a floral dress paired with sports shoes would give the necessary sporty look.
Powerlifting apparels would add a certain appeal to your outfit if you want to sport that ultra-sporty and non-dainty look.
Artistic Folks’ Look:
Style your floral dress with a suede jacket and fringed shoulder bag to get this look. Suede jackets are a great hit when it comes to floral dresses.
Cocktail Party look:
You can create a glamorous party look by wearing heels and a faux-fur or fur-like jacket. A jacket like this combed mink cashmere jacket will make you an instant celebrity and give you an eye-stunning look.
Tip:
Ideally, a thick cardigan would also help you achieve the same look and intention. Knitted cardigans are an excellent choice for wintery days.
3. Stockings and boots
Adding stockings and boots to your winter wardrobe are an excellent way of uplifting your winter styles. Be it ankle length or knee length, boots of various styles and textures would add that wintery charm to your floral outfit. And stockings will help you keep warm as well as give you an attractive style statement.
4. Knitted scarves and caps
Add a knitted scarf and a woolen headgear that accelerates your chic floral look. These two accessories will keep you warm and also give you a cute yet elegant look.
These versatile wardrobe additions definitely go beyond the usual jeans and sweaters and have an endless styling potential. So why wait?! Go ahead and be attractive and unique in your winter floral wear!
